Rapid Development of Industrial Software in Tianjin

At the Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation and Development Forum held during the 25th China International Software Expo, the Science and Technology Bureau of Hongqiao District and Tianjin Industry and Information Technology Institute jointly released the Tianjin Industrial Software Industry Atlas, comprehensively analyzing and interpreting the environment, ecology, development status, and future trends of Tianjins industrial software industry. The reporter learned that Tianjin has gathered nearly 50 enterprises with industrial software research and development capabilities, such as CATARC, TROILA Technology, ELCO, and KEYVIA, with a total revenue scale of over 40 billion Chinese yuan.

Industrial software refers to software that is specialized or mainly used in the industrial field to improve the management level of industrial enterprises and the performance of industrial equipment. The application of industrial software achieves orderly integration and penetration between research and development, design, production and manufacturing, operation and maintenance services, and other links, helping enterprises make intelligent decisions and reduce costs and increase efficiency. In recent years, industrial software in Tianjin has developed rapidly. More than 50 key enterprises such as TROILA Technology and CATARC have provided various types of industrial software products, including CAD, ERP, CRM, and corresponding overall solutions, achieving full coverage of the industrial product lifecycle. Taking TROILA Technology as an example, as a leading intelligent manufacturing and digital transformation system solution service provider, TROILA Technology independently develops multiple industrial software such as MES, MOM, APS, LMS, and has created data acquisition platforms, IoT platforms, AI platforms, digital twin platforms, helping more than 400 mechanical manufacturing enterprises improve work efficiency by 15% to 30% by establishing these platforms. In the practice of digital transformation in the service manufacturing industry, TROILA Technology has also formed mature products and solutions that cover business processes such as research and development design, production and manufacturing, warehousing and logistics, and sales services for manufacturing enterprises, which have been applied in multiple manufacturing industry segments such as coal, steel, and petrochemical.

At the forum, relevant experts introduced that Tianjin has presented a three-in-one innovation model that integrates platform traction, enterprise research, and university empowerment in terms of industrial software innovation and the city has high-level construction of the Xinchuang Haihe Laboratory, with industrial software as one of the four main research directions and a focus on research and development in areas such as digital and intelligent simulation as for platform innovation. In addition, Tianjin Cement Institute is accelerating the research and development of software products in vertical industries such as equipment and building materials, and building a complete set of core industrial software libraries. Tianjin is also building TROILA Technology Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Industrial Software Base with high standards, accelerating the gathering and development of enterprises, and fully supporting the construction of national advanced manufacturing research and development bases. In recent years, 33 projects in Tianjin, including the Smart Body Multi Material Connection Technology Digital Solution and the Tianduan Large Forging Equipment Remote Operation and Maintenance Solution, have been selected as excellent solutions for the Industrial Internet App of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
